Q: What is your Operation Schedule?
A: We are open for the 2013 season on April 12th and close November 3th.
Q: How much of a deposit is required when I make my reservation?
A: Lake Raystown Resort has a full pre-payment policy at the time of reservation. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. You may also send a money order or Cashier's Check. Sorry, but we do not accept personal checks.
Q: What is the accommodation cancellation policy?
A: If you cancel more than 90 days prior to your scheduled arrival an 80% refund is offered. Cancellations received between 89-31 days prior to you scheduled arrival will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to arrival no refund will be given.
Q: How many people are permitted to stay at my campsite, cabin or lodge room?
A: Campsite: 6 persons max
All Pine Cabins: 6 persons max
Maple Cabins: 6 persons max
Oak Park Cottages: 7 persons max
Beachfront Bungalows: 6 persons max
Lakeside Villas: 6 persons max
Lodge Rooms: 6 persons max
Lodge Suites: 4 persons max
Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: Pets are welcome in the campground as long as they are monitored, cleaned up after, and kept on a leash.
Pets are not permitted inside or around the cabins, cottages, bungalows, villas, lodge rooms or houseboats. We do not permit pets to be tied or kenneled on the porch or left in vehicles or boats. Guests with pets inside or in the area surrounding their cabins, cottages, bungalows, villas, lodge rooms or houseboats will be evicted without further notice or refund.
Q: Is there a kennel nearby?
A: Yes, BMC Kennels in Huntingdon is about 20 minutes away. Please contact them directly at (814) 643-1499.
Q: Can I arrive earlier than my scheduled check-in time?
A: Guests can arrive at any time throughout the day but guests’ belongings cannot be placed on the porch or inside of their cabin, campsite, or lodge room. Keys to overnight accomodations will not be distributed until the designated check-in time.
Q: What cell phone carriers have reception at the Resort?
A: AT&T/Cingular and Sprint/Nextel are the only carriers that provide service in the Raystown Lake area. There is not a Verizon cellular tower in the area and Verizon service is intermittant.
Q: How big is Raystown Lake?
A: Raystown Lake, with over 118 miles of shoreline and 8300 acres of water, is the largest lake in Pennsylvania and one of the largest man made lakes east of the Mississippi River.
Q: Is there a minimum stay required for The Lodge?
A: Between the dates of 5/24 - 9/2/2013, we require a 2 night minimum stay on the weekends of Friday and Saturday night. Saturday check-ins or check-outs are not available during our peak season. Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and after Labor Day Weekend, we accept reservations of any length.
*3 night minimum stay is required for the holiday weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights). 2013 holiday weekends are 5/24-5/27/2013, 6/28-7/1/2013, and 8/30-9/2/2013.
Q: Is there a minimum stay required for Pine Cabins, Appalachian Cabins in Maple or the Oak Park Cottages?
A: Between the dates of 5/24 - 9/2/2013, Pine Cabins, Appalachian Cabins and Oak Park Cottage rentals must be either a 2 night weekend stay (Friday - Sunday) or a 5 night weekday stay (Sunday - Friday) or a 7 night stay (Friday - Friday or Sunday - Sunday).
Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and after Labor Day Weekend, we accept reservations of any length.
A 3 night stay of Friday - Monday is required for all holiday weekends. 2013 holiday weekends are 5/24-5/27/2013, 6/28-7/1/2013, and 8/30-9/2/2013.
Q: Is there a minimum stay required for Beachfront Bungalow rentals?
A: Between the dates of 5/24 - 9/2/2013, Beachfront Bungalows require a 7 night stay of Saturday - Saturday.
Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and after Labor Day Weekend, we accept reservations of any length.
Q: Is there a minimum stay required for Waterfront or Lakeside Villa rentals?
A: Between the dates of 5/24 - 9/2/2013, Waterfront and Lakeside Villa rentals must be either a 3 night weekend stay (Friday - Monday) or a 4 night weekday stay (Monday- Friday) or a 7 night stay (Friday - Friday or Monday - Monday).
Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and after Labor Day Weekend, we accept reservations of any length.
Q: Is there a minimum stay required for Campsite rentals?
A: Between the dates of 5/24 - 9/2/2013, Waterfront, Premium and Super Sites require either a 2 night weekend stay (Friday - Sunday) or a 5 night weekday stay (Sunday - Friday) or a 7 night stay (Friday - Friday or Sunday - Sunday).
All other Campsite types require a 2 night weekend stay (Friday-Sunday). No Saturday check-ins or check-outs are permitted.
Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and after Labor Day Weekend, we accept reservations of any length in all campsites.

Q: Are bed linens included with Rental Units?
A: Pine Cabin and Appalachian Maple Cabin rentals DO NOT include bed linens. Lake Raystown Resort does offer Linen Packages for $30/length of stay in the Pine Cabins and for $40/length of stay in the Appalachian Cabins. We are happy to provide this service with advance notice of no less than 7 days. Guests can always bring their own bed linens for no additional fee.
Oak Park Cottages, Beachfront Bungalows, Waterfront and Lakeside Villas include all bed linens.
Q: Can I bring my boat? Is there a fee?
A: All registered overnight guests are permitted to bring their boats. Boats can be moored to the shoreline on a first-come-first-served basis - free of charge. Boats can also be stored on their trailers (free of charge) in any of our overflow parking lots.
Overnight boat slips at our Marina are available for $35/night. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be made through our Marina Services Department.
Meetings FAQs
Q: What is needed to reserve a Lodge Room Block and/or Event Space at the Conference Center?
A: A signed contract and a deposit will reserve your space. The amount will vary depending on the size and scale of your event.
Q: How many guests can the Conference Center accommodate?
A: We have handled groups from 5 to 400 guests. Please see our room specification sheet for room sizes and occupancy allowances. We offer many different Room Sets to meet the needs of your group which include Classroom, Theatre, Banquet, U-Shape, Hollow Square, Reception and other combinations of the above.
Q: What is included in room rental?
A: Conference Center room rentals include tables, chairs, table linens, notepads & pencils, pre-set pitchers of water, candy dishes, table stantions & table numbers, complimentary signage on 2 plasma television screens. We are happy to customize Room Sets to meet your needs - please contact us for additional options.
Q: Is the Conference Center ADA accessible?
A: Yes, we have an ADA accessible elevator, parking spaces, and doorways. We also have ADA accessible overnight accommodations. If you require special assistance please let us know - we are here to help.
Q: Is there ample parking at the Conference Center?
A: Yes, there is plenty of parking at the Conference Center at no cost.
Q: Can bus groups be accommodated?
A: Yes, we welcome bus groups. We encourage bus groups to explore all our amenities including Proud Mary Showboat sightseeing cruises and private charters with extensive dinning options. Lake Raystown Resort, Lodge & Conference Center is also the perfect home base for bus groups to explore the Raystown Region and the Southern Alleghenies Historic Region. Bus drivers will enjoy convenient bus parking and ample room to maneuver their coach around the Resort. Please contact us for more information on our motor coach packages.
Q: How many meeting rooms does the Conference Center have and how many will they hold?
A: We can offer dozens of room configurations with movable “fly” walls. Please see room specification chart for room sizes, occupancy allowances, and set up possibilities. Our most poplar Room Set is either U-Shape or Classroom set for their meeting with a separate meal area with a Banquet set. We have hosted meetings for 5-400 guests.
Q: Can you offer a general session with smaller break-out rooms?
A: Yes, our Conference Center was built with business in mind. Convenience and technology are a priority and our rooms were designed to suit specific business needs. All rooms have wall-mounted screens, easy access wireless internet, and a multitude of other business friendly options.
Q: What are the Audio/Visual capabilities of the Conference Center?
A: We offer many services including LCD projectors, screens, reader boards, hard wired microphones, wireless microphones, wireless lavalieres, podiums, wireless internet and several other business center options to suit your needs.
Q: What is your Operation Schedule?

Q: What is the cancellation policy for overnight Lodging Accomodations?
A: We do our best to meet our clients needs. Groups can choose to have Lodging held on a Group Master Account at Lake Raystown Resort. If a Group Master List is submitted there is greater flexibility.

Q: Any suggestions for a Multi-Day Retreat?
A: DAY 1 - Reacquaint with your colleagues with an ice breaker social aboard our Proud Mary Showboat or a Welcome Reception in the Full Moon Lounge. After your Meet & Greet...Continue conversation around the campfire at our Lodge or one of our Lakeside Villas!
DAY 2 - Meet at the Conference Center for a Continental Breakfast followed by your Morning Meeting. Spend the afternoon Outdoors with Team Building Activities either on or off Resort grounds. End your day with an elegant served dinner or try the rustic atmosphere of our Picnic Pavilions with a delicious Grilled Menu and Fireside S'mores.
DAY 3 - Start your Morning Meeting with Made To Order Waffles and all of the toppings. Continue the rest of the day with one of our activities and the options of having a catered lunch - or packing it to go!
