Q: How much is the deposit required when I make my reservation?
A: Lake Raystown Resort & Lodge has a full pre-payment policy at the time of reservation by Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. You many send a money order or a Cashier's Check which must be received by Lake Raystown Resort & Lodge no more than 2 weeks after the date that your reservation was made. Sorry, we do not accept personal checks.
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: If you cancel more than 90 days prior to your scheduled arrival, and 80% refund is offered. Cancellations received between 89-31 days prior to the scheduled arrival receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 30 days or if the guest checks out early will receive no refund.

Q: How many people are permitted to stay at my campsite/cabin/lodge room/cabin/cottage/bungalow/villa?
A: Campsite for 2008: 6 person max
A: All Pine Camping Cabins (2008): 6 person max
A: Appalachian Cabins in Maple (2008): 8 person max
A: Oak Park Cottages (2008): 7 person max
A: Beachfront Bungalows (2008): 6 person max
A: Lakeside Villas (2008): 6 person max

Q: Are there any additional charges for extra people?
A: All adults are included in the Beachfront Bungalows, Lakeside Villas, and the Houseboats.
The Pine Cabins, Appalachian Maple Cabins, Oak Park Cottages, and the Lodge have an additional $10 per night charge for each additional adult.
Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: Pets are welcome in the campground as long as they are monitored, cleaned up after, and kept on a leash.
Pets are not permitted inside or around the cabins, cottages, bungalows, villas, or lodge rooms. We do not permit pets to be tied or kenneled on the porch or left in vehicles or boats. Guests with pets inside or in the area surrounding their cabins, cottages, bungalows, villas, or lodge rooms will be evicted without further notice or refund.
Q: Can I arrive earlier than my scheduled check-in time?
A: Guests can arrive at any time throughout the day but guests' belongings cannot be placed on the porch or inside of their cabin, campsite, or lodge room.
Q: How late can I check in?
A: Our Resort Center is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week during our operating season.
Q: When can I make my reservations for 2008?
A: We are currently taking 2008 reservations. Call (814) 658-3500 to make yours today!
Q: When can I make my reservations for 2009?
A: We will begin taking 2009 reservations on Tuesday April 1, 2008.
2009 reservations for one week or more can be made starting March 24, 2008.
Q: What types of hookups do the campsites have?
A: All 221 campsites have water, electric, and cable TV hookups. We do have some sites with 50 AMP electric, but most are equipped with 30 AMP service. Honey Wagon pump-out service is available please call for details.
Q: What items do I need to bring for my cabin/cottage/bungalow/villa/houseboat rental?
A: All necessary pots, pans, dishes, and eating utensils are provided by Lake Raystown Resort & Lodge. Bed linens, toilet paper, facial tissue, and a starter pack of coffee are also provided. Guests must bring their own towels. We also recommend bringing camping/beach chairs, a large stock pot for spaghetti or corn on the cob (if you plan on cooking), aluminum foil/plastic wrap, containers for leftovers, paper towels, bath soap, shampoo, dish soap, and extra coffee and filters.
You may want to consider bringing all or some of the following additional items: hair dryer, kitchen towels, condiments/cooking oil, beach towels, sunscreen, extra blankets, flashlight, table top grill, camera, fishing gear, food & beverages, insect repellant, and space heaters for Pine/Maple Camping Cabins in the early spring and late fall (We have some available for rent for $5/day).
Houseboat Guests may want to consider bringing all or some of the following items in addition to the list above: DVDs for the DVD player that is provided (no cable or TV channels available), CDs for the stereo on board, bottled drinking water (water on houseboats is not potable), baking dishes, and grill utensils.
Q: Is there a horsepower restriction on Raystown Lake?
A: No, there is no horsepower restriction and jet-skis are welcome.
Q: How big is Raystown Lake?
A: Raystown Lake, with over 118 miles of shoreline and 8300 acres of water, is the largest lake in Pennsylvania and the largest man made lake east of the Mississippi River.
Q: What types of fish are found in Raystown Lake?
A: Raystown Lake is famous for Stripped Bass and holds the current state record of 53 lbs. However, Lake Trout, Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Small Mouth Bass, Panfish (Bluegill, Sunfish), Crappie, Yellow Perch, Channel and Blue Catfish, and the occasional Musky.
Q: Is there cellular phone service at Lake Raystown Resort & Lodge?
A: Nextel and AT&T/Cingular are the only carriers that provide service to the Raystown Lake area.
Q: Are there any RV dealers in the area?
